Today a friend posted this statement on Facebook:

"We may be the only Bible that people ever read. So we have to represent Christ to the fullest and let our light shine so that someone can ask you about the radiance that is emanating from you. We are workers together with Christ and we are his
ambassadors in this Earth."
(Deandra Tolson Harris)

The first part of her message "We may be the only Bible that people ever read" is so big! It had a huge impact on me. Think about it. You are a walking Bible. You may be the only person they will ever experience God through. The everyday actions and decisions we make in our lives are a reflection of what living for Christ looks like to the world. I know a lot of people don't like WWJD (what would Jesus do?), but it is the simplest way for believers to gauge their own actions. I ask myself that all the time. It's so much bigger than "is this the right thing to do?". It's how would Jesus have handled it? What does God's word say about it? Are my actions a reflection of God's love? As soon as you start asking your self these hard questions, you will feel what is the right thing to do in your heart. The Holy Spirit is working in you. Listen for His guidance.

The world is watching you. To all that represent Christ, everything you do is reflected on the kingdom. "We need to develop the character of God so others can actually see Jesus working in a practical way". (Parecha Bordley) We all make mistakes, but through God's grace we are forgiven. God always takes a mess and turns it into a message. The world truly does not understand that. It's our job to teach them about God's love, mercy and grace through our everyday actions. So lets be real with the world and stop hiding behind the safety of religion. Stand up, step out and extend the hand of God to someone.

Never walk away from someone who deserves help: your hand is God's hand for that person...
(Proverbs 3:27 MSG)

"Let our light shine so that someone can ask you about the radiance that is emanating from you."
(Deandra Tolson Harris)

Lord let them be a burning light for your glory. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven. (Matthew 5:16)
